Jake's Place Manager

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Jake’s Place Manager to oversee recreation, dining, beverage, and entertainment services for a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures high‑quality experiences for patrons while complying with mission requirements and government standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage food and beverage services, entertainment, and recreational activities, ensuring compliance with contract and safety standards.
• Develop and implement operational policies, supervise staff, and provide training and mentorship.
• Monitor customer satisfaction, collect feedback, and continuously improve services.
• Oversee financial performance, budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation to meet revenue goals.
• Maintain inventory of food, beverages, supplies, and equipment, ensuring accurate stock levels.
• Coordinate with government representatives to plan events and respond to emergencies promptly.

Required profile

• Four‑year degree in business management, hospitality or related field, OR at least three years of relevant experience.
• Five years of middle‑manager experience in a comparable civilian commercial setting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with ability to work in a remote, austere environment.
• Valid passport, ability to obtain required visas and pass medical and security clearances.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems and related inventory/financial software.
• Budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting expertise.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health‑safety standards.
• Ability to manage staff, training, and performance in dining and entertainment operations.
