Juice Barista

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Juice Barista in Kilimani within the hospitality industry. The role covers preparing fresh juices, smoothies and wellness drinks, maintaining equipment and serving customers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare fresh juices, smoothies, wellness shots, protein shakes and other specialty drinks using fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs, following standardized recipes and monitoring ingredient freshness.
• Operate commercial juicers, blenders and mixers safely, clean and sanitize them daily, and report faults promptly.
• Welcome customers, explain menu items, take accurate orders, handle feedback and maintain a friendly, professional attitude.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, follow food safety and sanitation regulations, wash and store ingredients properly and use FIFO for stock rotation.
• Monitor daily inventory of fruits, vegetables, supplements and consumables, inform management of low stock, minimize waste and help receive and store deliveries.
• Work with kitchen and front-of-house staff, support colleagues during busy periods, take part in cleaning and opening/closing duties, and attend training sessions.

Required profile

• Certificate or diploma in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage, Culinary Arts or a related field.
• Food safety and hygiene certification is an added advantage.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Juice Barista in a high-end restaurant, hotel, café, wellness centre or premium hospitality establishment.
• Experience preparing fresh juices, smoothies and detox drinks with commercial equipment.
• Strong knowledge of fresh produce, juice combinations and smoothie preparation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with commercial juicers, blenders and beverage equipment.
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP principles and hygiene standards.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
