Lead Auditor – Food Certification

About the role

We are launching a Certification Business Unit across Southern and Eastern Africa and need a seasoned auditor with an entrepreneurial mindset to lead the effort. As Lead Auditor, you will combine technical auditing expertise with business development to establish QuantiLAB as the preferred certification body in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the commercial launch and growth of certification activities across Southern and Eastern Africa, building a pipeline of prospects and converting them into long‑term partners.
• Conduct food safety and quality certification audits (HACCP, BRCGS, Global GAP, and related standards) as a qualified Lead Auditor, ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements.
• Leverage existing industry relationships and develop new ones with food producers, growers, processors, and retailers.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to continuously refine the certification offering.
• Represent QuantiLAB at industry events and act as the regional subject‑matter expert on food certification standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Lead Auditor in food safety and quality standards.
• Deep knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, and Global GAP standards.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of building client relationships and driving business growth.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
