Locum Registered Nurse – OPD

About the role

South B Hospital is looking for a qualified Locum Registered Nurse to join the Outpatient Department (OPD) on a part‑time basis. This temporary role supports the delivery of high‑quality nursing care to patients visiting the OPD.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, triage and provide nursing care to OPD patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist with resuscitation procedures.
• Monitor patient conditions and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Uphold infection prevention, patient safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Valid registration and current practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
• At least one (1) year of experience in an Outpatient or Accident & Emergency setting.
• Excellent clinical assessment, communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred).
