About the role

The World Agroforestry Centre is seeking a Macroeconomics Consultant to support its research and policy initiatives. Based in Nairobi, Westlands, the consultant will provide macro‑economic insight relevant to agroforestry and sustainable land‑use projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct macroeconomic analysis related to agroforestry and environmental programmes.
  • Prepare briefing notes, reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary, multicultural teams to integrate economic findings into project design and implementation.

Required profile

  • Holds a degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Fluent spoken and written English; additional international language(s) an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience working in multicultural, multidisciplinary teams, preferably in a non‑profit setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Values information sharing and continuous improvement in a cooperative environment.
