Manager, AI Adoption and Innovation

About the role

The Manager, AI Adoption and Innovation will drive the uptake, experimentation, and value realization of AI tools across Evidence Action’s Africa region. Reporting to the Regional Planning and Coordination team, you will translate the organization’s AI strategy into practical adoption plans for more than 600 staff in nine countries.

Key responsibilities

• Identify high‑impact AI use cases within core workflows and prioritize them for development.
• Coordinate prototyping, testing, and scaling of AI solutions with technical and program teams.
• Lead change‑management initiatives, including training, communication, and organizational learning.
• Track impact metrics and ensure a strong return on investment for AI infrastructure.
• Collaborate with technical departments to pressure‑test ideas and iterate rapidly.
• Support non‑technical staff in adopting and integrating AI tools into daily operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing technology adoption or innovation projects, preferably in a multi‑country or nonprofit setting.
• Strong program‑management and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment and navigate uncertainty.
• Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and non‑technical teams.
