Medical Records Specialist

About the role

A leading U.S.-based personal injury law firm is looking for a Medical Records Specialist to join its operations team. The role is suited for candidates with 1‑2 years of experience handling medical records in a law‑firm environment and a background in healthcare, nursing, or medical administration.

Key responsibilities

• Request medical records, bills, imaging and supporting documentation from healthcare providers.
• Follow up with providers to ensure timely receipt of records.
• Track request status and keep case management systems updated.
• Upload, organize and review records for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify missing documents or discrepancies and escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with legal and operations teams on case status updates.
• Maintain detailed documentation while handling sensitive information confidentially.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of medical records experience within a law firm (required).
• Background in healthcare, medical administration, nursing, life sciences or a related field (preferred).
• Experience requesting records from U.S.-based providers (a plus).
• Strong English communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
