About the role
The World Food Programme is seeking four Monitoring & Evaluation Assistants to support its field offices in Garissa, Isiolo, Lodwar and Wajir, Kenya. The role focuses on managing M&E processes at the field level to ensure evidence‑based programme decisions and accountability.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate monitoring and evaluation activities in the assigned field office.
- Collect, verify and analyse programme data against established indicators.
- Prepare regular M&E reports and contribute to performance reviews.
- Support Programme Policy Officers and Programme Associates with data‑driven insights.
- Ensure data quality and compliance with WFP’s results framework.
Required profile
- University degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., statistics, economics, social sciences, development studies).
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
- Ability to work in remote field settings and travel within the assigned region.
- Strong communication skills in English and, where applicable, local languages.
Required skills
- Data collection and verification.
- Data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with M&E tools and indicators.
