Part-time Computer Science Teacher (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Teacher of Computer Science to deliver live, synchronous lessons to small international classes. The role is fully remote, part‑time (13 periods per week) and focuses on Key Stage 3 and iGCSE curricula.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging online lessons covering programming fundamentals (primarily Python), algorithms, data representation, networks and computer systems.
• Use evidence‑informed strategies such as live coding, pair programming, retrieval practice and guided practice to maximise student participation.
• Assign purposeful homework, provide timely feedback on code and written work, and monitor progress against benchmarks.
• Teach the Pearson Edexcel International GCSE Computer Science curriculum and contribute to in‑house KS3 digital literacy programmes.
• Participate in internal assessments, mock examinations and reporting cycles.
• Collaborate with a global staff community to ensure curriculum consistency and stay current with subject developments.

Required profile

• Passionate educator with the ability to teach live online to small groups (max 15 students).
• Flexibility to work mainly between 07:00 and 15:00 UK time, with occasional earlier sessions for Asian‑based students.
• Based in Europe, the Middle East or Asia, and able to indicate current location and visa sponsorship needs.
• Commitment to delivering academically rigorous, interactive lessons.
