Payroll Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized and detail‑oriented Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for our workforce. You will act as the primary point of contact for payroll‑related inquiries and collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on schedule according to established timelines.
• Review and verify employee time records, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and other payroll data.
• Calculate wages, taxes, benefits, and other payroll adjustments.
• Maintain up‑to‑date employee payroll records and process new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary changes.
• Enter payroll information correctly into payroll and HR systems.
• Reconcile payroll reports, identify discrepancies, and resolve them promptly.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and benefits.
• Prepare payroll reports, summaries, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with payroll tax filings, payments, and compliance requirements.
• Support payroll audits by providing required reports and documentation.
• Monitor payroll deadlines and ensure all activities are completed on time.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee compensation and personal information.

Required profile

• Previous experience in payroll processing, payroll administration, accounting, finance, or HR.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience using payroll software, HRIS platforms, or accounting systems.
• Knowledge of payroll taxes, deductions, benefits, and compliance requirements.
