PhD Peer Reviewer – Economics

About the role

We are seeking an experienced economist with a PhD to provide high‑quality peer reviews for academic manuscripts. This is a long‑term, part‑time position that can be performed remotely, supporting our journal’s editorial process.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and contribution of submitted manuscripts.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Check the literature review for relevance and completeness.
• Analyse results and verify that conclusions are supported by the data.
• Provide constructive, clear, and concise feedback to authors.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) in Economics or a closely related field.
• At least five peer‑review‑ready papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the last three years.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Commitment to confidentiality, objectivity, and ethical standards.
• Prior experience as a journal peer reviewer is highly desirable.
