Project Coordinator – Livelihood & Resilience

About the role

The Project Coordinator – Livelihood & Resilience will lead planning, coordination and technical guidance for market‑systems and climate‑smart agriculture interventions, supporting smallholder farmers in Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and implement market‑systems development activities, focusing on input access, financial services and value‑chain strengthening.
• Conduct community‑based targeting and registration of smallholder farmers in partnership with WFP and county technical teams.
• Develop and disseminate guiding material on value‑chain development, market‑systems strengthening and climate‑smart production.
• Ensure integration of market‑systems with nutrition, gender, climate‑smart agriculture and resilience components.
• Collaborate with the Program Officer (Disaster Management) to meet donor guidelines and quality standards.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement with county governments, donors, private sector and partners through B2B meetings, agri‑business fairs and field days.
• Support youth and women smallholder farmers and Farmer Service Centers to showcase innovations at county‑level agricultural fairs.
• Monitor budgeted resources for market‑systems activities in coordination with the Grants Finance Officer.
• Promote strategies for inclusive market access, climate‑smart value chains and linkage to school feeding programs.
