Sales and Marketing Associate

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Sales and Marketing Associate to drive client acquisition and promote our China‑to‑Kenya shipping services. The role combines market research, strategy development, and relationship management to expand our customer base.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify potential clients and new business opportunities.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote shipping services from China to Kenya.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and expand the customer base through outreach and networking.
• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products.
• Monitor and analyze sales data to identify improvement areas and increase revenue.
• Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activity, providing recommendations to management.
• Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and other events to generate leads.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
• Manage and update customer databases and sales reports.

Required profile

• Diploma in sales and marketing or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in shipping or logistics.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities.
• Self‑motivated, results‑driven and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with CRM software.
