Senior Associate / Project Manager – Sustainability Transformation

About the role

bluegain is seeking a Senior Associate or Project Manager to lead large‑scale sustainability and circularity transformation programmes for top‑level executives. You will work at the intersection of sustainability, business model innovation and digital transformation, helping organisations design and implement strategies that drive ecological and social impact.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects and modules within multi‑year sustainability and circularity programmes.
• Develop transformation strategies, roadmaps and project portfolios tailored to client organisations.
• Design sustainable and circular business models, considering stakeholder needs and reverse‑logistics processes.
• Identify and apply technological levers that accelerate progress toward the SDGs.
• Lead change‑management initiatives, engaging managers and employees to ensure commitment and enablement.
• Produce thought‑leadership content for publication and internal use.
• Oversee project‑related staffing, including employees and working students.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, or a sustainability transformation programme with responsibility for mission‑critical projects.
• Degree in industrial engineering, law, business informatics, business administration, communication, journalism or a comparable field (Master’s preferred).
