Senior Manager, Maternal, Child Health and Nutrition – Africa (1‑Year FTC)

About the role

CIFF is seeking a senior leader to shape and oversee a portfolio of investments that advance maternal, child health and nutrition (MCH+N) across Africa. The role combines strategic planning, programme development and high‑level stakeholder engagement to drive transformational impact.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage a comprehensive MCH+N investment portfolio aligned with CIFF’s Africa Strategy and Resilient Communities Framework.
• Conduct rigorous research analyses to inform strategic objectives and operational plans.
• Facilitate collaboration with governments, donors, and implementing agencies to gather insights and shape priorities.
• Identify partnership and co‑creation opportunities to strengthen the broader MCH+N ecosystem.
• Design financing mechanisms and innovative approaches in partnership with the Director of Maternal, Child Health and Development.
• Lead investment design, grantee selection, and approval processes.
• Monitor and evaluate programme performance, address challenges, and report progress to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Recognized leader with extensive experience in maternal, child health and nutrition sectors.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical skills and experience translating insights into strategic presentations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
