Software Engineer – Human Data Platforms (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data platforms that process human‑generated datasets. The position is fully remote and focuses on building robust backend services for both real‑time and batch processing.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimise data pipelines that handle large‑scale human‑generated data.
• Develop and maintain backend services supporting real‑time and batch processing workloads.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to guarantee platform reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions that improve scalability and performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience with backend development in Python, Java, or Go.
• Hands‑on experience with distributed systems such as Kafka or Spark.
• Familiarity with cloud data infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail when debugging complex systems.
