Supermarket Supervisor

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Supermarket Supervisor in Ruiru. The supervisor oversees the daily operations of the supermarket, ensures excellent customer service, effective staff supervision and efficient inventory management, while maintaining company standards and achieving operational targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations, keep the store clean and organized, and monitor opening and closing procedures.
• Supervise, coach and motivate staff, prepare schedules, manage attendance and give regular performance feedback.
• Monitor stock availability, coordinate replenishment, ensure merchandising standards and minimize stock losses.
• Ensure prompt, professional customer service, resolve complaints and escalate issues where needed.
• Supervise cash handling and daily cash reconciliations, and ensure compliance with company policies, health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Prepare daily operational and sales reports and coordinate with management on store performance.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management or a related field.
• At least two years of experience as a supervisor or manager in a supermarket or retail environment.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing daily supermarket operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
