Systems Accountant

About the role

Trócaire is seeking a Systems Accountant to lead the modernisation of its finance systems and reporting processes. Working across finance, enterprise systems, country offices and external suppliers, you will translate finance needs into practical solutions that improve controls, reduce manual work and enhance data quality.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and maintain the finance systems roadmap, prioritising improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with finance users to gather requirements and design system, process or reporting solutions.
• Support finance transformation projects, including system implementations and upgrades.
• Ensure robust financial controls and accurate reporting cycles within the ERP environment.
• Provide training and guidance to colleagues for consistent use of finance systems.

Required profile

• Qualified or part‑qualified accountant, or equivalent experience in finance systems and reporting.
• Strong practical understanding of accounting processes, financial controls and reporting cycles.
• Experience delivering finance transformation or ERP implementation projects.
• Ability to manage work, coordinate stakeholders and meet agreed deadlines.

Required skills

• Unit4 ERP/accounting system (or similar).
• Advanced Excel.
• Data analysis.
