Technical Product Manager, Agrometeorological Products

About the role
TomorrowNow is seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead the development and delivery of its agrometeorological product portfolio. You will shape the strategy, drive hands‑on product creation and ensure that climate‑focused tools reach smallholder farmers and institutional partners across East and Southern Africa.
Key responsibilities
- Own the roadmap for agromet indices, advisories, decision‑support tools and geospatial features.
- Translate partner needs and field evidence into clear product requirements, prioritisation and release plans.
- Design, prototype and launch new forecast products, advisory content and geospatial workflows.
- Lead applied R&D on ensemble methods, probabilistic forecasting and algorithm optimisation.
- Validate and benchmark products through forecast verification, ground‑truth observation networks and systematic evaluation.
- Engage with national meteorological services, research institutes and farmer‑facing partners to co‑create and adopt solutions.
- Coordinate closely with platform engineering, software development and partnership teams to move products from concept to operational delivery.
Required profile
- Mid‑career professional with a background in geospatial analysis and product management.
- Proven experience taking weather, climate or agricultural data products from concept through to operational use.
- Hands‑on technical capability combined with strong coordination and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
- Ability to work remotely and collaborate across time zones, especially East/Southern Africa.
