Temporary Specialized Educational Intervenor – East & South (CUPE 2331)

About the role

The York Catholic District School Board is seeking a Temporary Specialized Educational Intervenor (SEI) for the East and South area. This itinerant, 10‑month assignment starts immediately and supports K‑12 students with moderate to severe safety or physical needs across multiple schools.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for assigned students under the direction of the school principal.
• Provide direct support to students to develop safe participation skills within the classroom and school environment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver data, feedback, and progress reports on student interventions.
• Adapt interventions to meet the specific safety‑related needs of each student.
• Travel to any designated East or South school as required, based on student needs and preferred geographical area.

Required profile

• Experience working with students who have special educational needs, particularly those requiring safety or physical accommodations.
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff.
• Flexibility to be placed in various school locations on short notice.

• Band M compensation ranging from $40.24 to $42.61 per hour (CAD).
