Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) – Literacy Intervention

About the role

Prep Academy Tutors seeks a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) to deliver evidence‑based literacy intervention to students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and related learning differences. You will work one‑on‑one and in small groups, providing structured, multi‑sensory instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group Structured Literacy/Orton‑Gillingham instruction.
• Conduct literacy screenings, analyze results, and create individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Track student progress, adjust instruction based on data, and communicate updates to families and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with franchise owners, classroom teachers, school learning specialists, and other tutors to enhance student support.
• Maintain accurate session notes and uphold professional ethical standards.

Required profile

• CALT credential required; state licensure or teaching certificate preferred.
• Minimum two years of direct intervention experience with dyslexia or language‑based learning needs.
• Strong assessment skills for administering, scoring, and interpreting literacy screeners and progress‑monitoring tools.
• Excellent communication, culturally responsive practice, organized and data‑driven.
• Ability to tailor instruction across grade levels; bilingual ability is a plus.
