Warehouse Supervisor (M/F)

About the role

AGL (Africa Global Logistics), a multimodal logistics operator (port, logistics, maritime and rail) in Africa and part of the MSC Group, is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor in Nairobi. Reporting to the Warehouse Controller, the post covers day-to-day warehouse operations, safety, documentation and supervision of warehouse staff.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate equipment, warehouse space and personnel according to the warehouse manager's schedule, and run daily operations and toolbox meetings with warehouse teams.
• Carry out daily spot checks so staff follow the published SOPs, and coordinate inbound, storage and outbound shipment activities.
• Ensure correct stacking and storage, and perform monthly stock takes in line with SOP.
• Issue gate passes and delivery notes per truck or activity, and prepare manual goods receipt and dispatch notes.
• Ensure compliance with QHSE regulations and security procedures, and carry out daily checks.
• Maintain the item catalogue with dimensions, counter-sign stack cards, tally sheets and stock take sheets, and archive documentation correctly.
• Provide reports to the warehouse manager and clients, and process receiving, discrepancy and damage reports.
• Supervise permanent and casual staff, keep the warehouse clean and maintain the cleaning roster.
• Take part in budget development and control, evaluate complaints about shipments of equipment and stock, and carry out delegated tasks.

Required profile

• Tertiary education in logistics or supply chain management.
• 2 years of experience in supply chain, with a specific focus on warehousing.
