A Level Mathematics & Physics Teacher

About the role

The International Academy in Nairobi is looking for an experienced A Level Mathematics and Physics teacher. You will deliver the Cambridge International curriculum, prepare students for examinations and nurture critical thinking. The role involves collaborating with colleagues to continuously improve teaching quality.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Mathematics and Physics lessons aligned with the Cambridge A Level curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans, schemes of work and assessment materials.
• Prepare students for Cambridge A Level examinations through effective teaching and continuous assessment.
• Monitor, assess and report on student progress.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Integrate technology and practical activities into lessons.
• Maintain classroom management and uphold school policies.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student performance.
• Participate in departmental meetings, school activities and professional development programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education with a focus on Mathematics and Physics.
• Minimum 7 years teaching experience in a Cambridge curriculum school.
• At least 2 years teaching Cambridge International A Level Mathematics and Physics.
• Proven success in preparing students for Cambridge A Level examinations.
