About the role

Rio Fish is hiring a full-time, on-site Accounts Assistant in Nairobi. The role covers recording financial transactions, processing invoices, keeping financial records and supporting the preparation of financial reports. The employer is listed as Corporate Staffing Services.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts and day-to-day bookkeeping
  • Prepare bank, M-Pesa and supplier/customer reconciliations
  • Process payments, invoices and receipts and keep proper records
  • Support payroll, statutory filings (KRA, NSSF, SHIF, Housing Levy) and audits
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and donor/grant financial reporting

Required profile

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (CPA progress is an advantage)
  • Relevant accounting experience
  • Ability to meet deadlines, professionalism, accuracy, integrity and strong organisational abilities

Required skills

  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage is an advantage
  • Good Excel skills
