Accounts Payable Assistant – Full-Time in Nairobi

About the role

The Accounts Payable Assistant will maintain accounts payable transactions, ensure accurate capture and matching of supplier invoices, manage timely disbursements, and support document filing and audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Comply with finance and general SOPs and assist with internal and external audits.
• Ensure all supplier invoices are accurately captured in SAP and matched with Purchase Orders.
• Post supplier payments accurately and on time according to agreed terms.
• Verify vendor invoices comply with eTIMS and obtain departmental head approval before posting.
• Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve disputes.
• File all vendor invoices daily in labeled, alphabetical files together with reconciliations.
• Support training, projects, and other tasks assigned by finance management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Administration, or Business Management.
• Preferably a semi‑qualified accountant (CPA or ACCA).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or similar finance role, with experience using ERP systems such as SAP.
• Good IT and Microsoft Excel skills, strong verbal and written communication, and solid organizational abilities.
