Assistant Manager, Legal Services (Compliance & Disciplinary Support)

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Legal Services will report to the Head of Legal Services and lead the legal regulatory‑compliance and disciplinary support workstream. The role acts as the primary liaison to the Disciplinary Committee and provides technical legal assistance to the Regulation Licensing and Compliance Directorate, the Registration and Quality Assurance Committee, and the investigations function, ensuring the Institute’s disciplinary processes are legally sound.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the legal regulatory‑compliance and disciplinary support workstream across the Institute.
• Serve as the principal link between the legal department and the Disciplinary Committee.
• Provide legal advice and technical support to the Regulation Licensing and Compliance Directorate and the Registration and Quality Assurance Committee.
• Manage the full disciplinary lifecycle, from preliminary complaint review to proceedings and appeals.
• Ensure consistency, efficiency, and legal robustness of dispute‑resolution and disciplinary processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a recognised institution.
• Qualified Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid practising certificate.
• Registered member of the Law Society of Kenya in good standing.
