Compliance Manager – Real‑time Payments

About the role

Our client, a real‑time payment services company operating under the National Payment System Act, is looking for a Manager – Compliance to lead regulatory compliance, AML/CFT, data protection and KYC/KYB governance across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily AML/CFT transaction screening, sanctions, PEP and adverse‑media monitoring, and manage the preparation and filing of STR/SAR reports.
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments, ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act 2019 and govern AI/ML model controls.
• Design and execute enterprise‑wide KYC/KYB onboarding, periodic due‑diligence refreshes and maintain an audit‑ready compliance repository.
• Perform regulatory horizon‑scanning, maintain a central repository of requirements and provide advisory support to management.
• Support Scheme Council governance, monitor inter‑bank dispute‑resolution SLAs and conduct compliance quality‑assurance reviews.

Required profile

• At least 7 years of experience in compliance, AML/CFT, regulatory affairs or financial‑crime risk management, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or senior supervisory role.
• Background in banking, payments, FinTech or another regulated environment, and proven experience dealing with regulators, auditors or law‑enforcement.
• Strong analytical, investigative and report‑writing abilities, with the capacity to exercise independent compliance judgment.
