Assistant Residential Manager – Norwich Region

About the role

The Assistant Residential Manager supports the Residential Manager in creating a safe, supportive, and serene environment for residents in the Norwich region. This role combines direct care, administrative oversight, and mentorship to ensure high‑quality residential services for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, train, and supervise support staff in partnership with the Residential Manager.
• Coordinate daily resident planning, weekly meetings, and outing logistics.
• Oversee documentation, shift reports, and information transfer between shifts.
• Ensure active programming, goal tracking, and service delivery for each resident.
• Conduct medication audits, room checks, prescription orders, and MAR verification.
• Provide direct care, including medication administration and assistance with medical appointments.
• Serve as mentor for new hires during the first six months and attend all required trainings.
• Provide on‑call oversight during work hours and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred (required for Golisano Program).
• Minimum two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Completion of Springbrook New Manager Orientation and Leadership Training.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and meet physical requirements, including lifting 50 lb.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate Springbrook vehicles.
