Assistant Residential Manager - Otsego Region

About the role

The Assistant Residential Manager works alongside the Residential Manager to ensure a safe, supportive, and serene environment for residents of Springbrook’s community homes in the Otsego Region. This position combines direct care, staff supervision, and program coordination to meet each resident’s needs.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, train, and supervise Director Support Professionals in partnership with the Residential Manager.
• Coordinate daily resident planning, weekly meetings, and trip logistics.
• Mentor new hires during their first six months.
• Ensure accurate documentation and shift report completion.
• Oversee active programming, daily planners, goals, and service delivery.
• Conduct medication audits, MAR checks, prescription orders, and data entry.
• Provide direct care, including medication administration and assistance with medical appointments.
• Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and provide on‑call oversight.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred; required for Golisano Program).
• Minimum two years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Completion of Springbrook New Manager Orientation and Leadership Training.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and meet physical requirements (lift 50 lb, drive Springbrook vehicles).
