Associate Backend Developer

About the role

Codeable is seeking a motivated Associate Backend Developer to join its growing engineering team in Lahore. You will work on server‑side logic, API integrations and database management for web and mobile applications serving global clients. This position is ideal for a junior developer who wants to deepen technical expertise while contributing to real client projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend systems for web and mobile applications.
• Build secure, scalable REST APIs using Node.js and Express.js (or similar frameworks).
• Integrate third‑party services and external APIs.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, Supabase) for data storage and retrieval.
• Implement authentication, authorization and user‑management flows.
• Debug backend issues, optimise performance and write clean, reusable code.
• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, UI/UX, QA and project‑management teams for smooth API integration.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation and follow best development practices.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong foundation in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience with Node.js and Express.js (or comparable frameworks).
• Familiarity with REST API design and integration.
• Hands‑on experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL or Supabase.
• Basic understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
