Banking MIS and Data Architecture Consultant

About the role

The Community Capacity Building Initiative (CCBI) is forming a consultancy team for an urgent AfDB‑funded assignment aimed at strengthening gender‑responsive monitoring, evaluation and reporting for a Kenyan financial institution. The role focuses on designing and improving the institution’s Management Information System (MIS) and data architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and map existing data flows across core banking, loan origination, trade finance and CRM systems.
• Design dashboard specifications that support gender‑disaggregated reporting.
• Develop data governance frameworks and define access control policies.
• Guide systems integration to ensure seamless data exchange between banking modules.
• Provide recommendations to enhance gender‑responsive monitoring and evaluation processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience with commercial banking systems, including core banking, loan origination, trade finance and CRM.
• Practical knowledge of data‑flow mapping, systems integration and dashboard design.
• Familiarity with gender‑disaggregated financial or WSME data is an advantage.
• Ability to work on an urgent, time‑bound consultancy assignment.
