Car Sales Intern

About the role

A leading company in the automotive import industry, working through a recruitment consultant, is seeking a Car Sales Intern to join its sales team in Nairobi, Nakuru and Eldoret. The internship gives hands-on experience in automotive sales, customer engagement and the vehicle import process, supporting customers through vehicle sourcing and purchase while building skills in consultative sales and customer relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries by phone, email, WhatsApp and social media
• Identify customer needs and recommend suitable vehicles
• Prepare quotations and follow up with prospective customers
• Maintain customer records and sales databases
• Support lead generation through digital platforms and referrals
• Track customer orders and the vehicle import process
• Research vehicle trends and customer preferences
• Help prepare daily and weekly sales reports
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce or a related field
• Passion for sales and customer service
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, eager to learn and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of motor vehicles is an added advantage but not required
