Civil Project Manager

About the role

The Civil Project Manager will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver large‑scale civil and infrastructure projects for Zb Constructions Limited in Nairobi. This senior position oversees the full project lifecycle, ensuring technical excellence, cost efficiency and compliance with Kenyan HSE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering teams, coordinating structural, geotechnical and infrastructure specialists.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor all project phases from initiation to hand‑over.
• Develop and control budgets, perform value engineering and forecast project costs.
• Manage procurement, vendor contracts, and contractor performance.
• Ensure designs and construction meet technical specifications, quality standards and HSE requirements.
• Handle variation claims, financial reporting and contractual obligations.
• Communicate progress and issues to clients, consultants and senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of progressive project management experience on large civil or infrastructure projects.
• Active registration with the Engineers Board of Kenya or equivalent professional body.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex contracts.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan regulatory and HSE standards.
