Cosmetology Lecturer

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Cosmetology Lecturer to join our leading technical college in Nairobi. The successful candidate will deliver both theoretical and hands‑on training in hair technology and beauty therapy, preparing students for careers in the beauty industry.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver theoretical and practical training in cosmetology, covering hair technology and beauty therapy.
• Demonstrate and train students on hairdressing, hairstyling, skincare, makeup, manicure, pedicure and related techniques.
• Develop lesson plans, training materials and practical assessments aligned with the TVET curriculum and competency‑based training standards.
• Assess and monitor students' practical skills and academic progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Mentor students, promoting professional standards, hygiene, safety, creativity and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Diploma in Cosmetology (KNEC, NITA or CDACC).
• Minimum 2 years experience teaching in a TVET institution.
• Passion for training and student development.
• TVET Certified Trainer status.
