Direct Support Professional – Binghamton

About the role

Springbrook is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Binghamton. You will work in home, community and residential settings, helping individuals lead independent, choice‑driven lives while ensuring their safety and well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and hygiene.
• Support community integration by accompanying clients to shopping, recreation, and social events.
• Promote client choice and independence while providing protective oversight.
• Document daily activities and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Adhere to Springbrook policies, state regulations, and health‑and‑safety standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and mandatory overtime.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet vehicle‑driving requirements.
• Physical capability to lift 50 lb independently and assist with heavier loads.
