Direct Support Professional – Oneonta Region

About the role

Springbrook is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across the Oneonta region. You will help clients live more independent, fulfilling lives while working in a variety of community, residential, and educational settings.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal care and meal preparation.
• Support community integration by accompanying clients to outings, appointments, and recreational activities.
• Promote choice and independence while ensuring safety and compliance with policies.
• Document services accurately and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Provide overnight, evening, and weekend coverage as needed.
• Adapt to reassignment across locations based on business needs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mandatory overtime and overnights.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet vehicle driving requirements.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lb independently and assist with heavier loads.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
