E-commerce Shopper & Customer Marketing Manager

About the role

The E-commerce Shopper & Customer Marketing Manager will lead retailer.com media planning, online merchandising and e‑commerce content deployment for Beiersdorf’s brands in Kenya. The role supports the e‑commerce sales teams to achieve objectives, ensures optimal brand visibility across online retail channels, and translates national brand plans into tailored e‑commerce concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Enable e‑commerce sales teams to meet targets and optimise brand visibility and traffic across online platforms.
• Define and enforce local “perfect store” online standards and ensure timely deployment of e‑retail content.
• Own retailer.com media planning, activation and e‑commerce specific promotions, collaborating with brand, media and in‑house agency teams.
• Translate national brand plans into e‑commerce tailored concepts and support sales managers with strong e‑retail support plans.
• Develop and coordinate merchandise selection for pure‑player and multichannel e‑commerce accounts, driving sales and margin while maintaining a consistent brand experience.
• Create A+ content, SEO‑based product description pages, brand/theme stores and visibility banners to maximise conversion and average order size.
• Analyse product placement on retailer webshops to achieve “perfect store online” and identify emerging product opportunities.
• Report e‑commerce results and KPIs locally and act as the primary liaison between brand teams and e‑commerce sales teams.

Required profile

• BComm degree in Marketing or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience in shopper or customer marketing, preferably within FMCG health & beauty.
• Online merchandising experience using advanced inventory control and merchandising applications.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into strategic actions.
• Proven negotiation and collaboration abilities to influence cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
