About the role
The City of Gadsden is seeking an Engineering Aide to support the Engineering Department. This full‑time role involves performing surveying and construction inspection duties to ensure projects are executed correctly.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct field surveys and gather accurate measurements for engineering projects.
- Inspect construction sites to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Prepare and maintain documentation of survey results and inspection reports.
- Assist the Engineering Director or designated representatives with routine tasks and special projects.
Required profile
- Ability to perform surveying and construction inspection tasks competently.
- Willingness to undergo a general knowledge test during the interview process.
- Reliability to work onsite at City Hall during standard business hours.
