About the role
The Structural Assistant III will support the inspection, maintenance and design of structural works for the Nakuru County Public Service Board. The role involves on‑site work, preparing drawings and ensuring compliance with construction standards and safety regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare structural and civil drawings, including detailing of steel and concrete structures, drainage schemes, roads and paved areas.
- Conduct simple survey works under the guidance of a senior officer and monitor construction activities.
- Check the quality of building materials, conduct site inspections and maintain technical records.
- Prepare progress reports and ensure compliance with construction standards and safety regulations.
Required profile
- Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building, or related field.
- Construction Technician Certificate Part III or equivalent.
- Relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
