Field Sales Manager

About the role

Solar Panda Kenya is seeking a Field Sales Manager to lead sales activities for its solar home solutions. Reporting to the Area Sales Manager, you will manage a team of commission‑based agents, develop sales strategies, and ensure targets are met. This is a full‑time, permanent position with a base salary plus commission.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train, motivate and mentor a team of field sales agents.
• Design and implement clear sales strategies and lead‑generation initiatives.
• Support agents in pitching to customer groups such as community savings groups (chamas).
• Monitor daily sales performance, provide coaching, and address obstacles.
• Prepare regular sales reports for the Area Sales Manager.
• Identify training needs and coordinate programs with HR.
• Liaise with the local shop administrator to ensure agents have adequate stock.
• Track market trends, customer behavior and competitor activity, and share insights.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in renewable energy or related sectors.
• College diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Strong personal integrity, hard‑working attitude and respect for customers and colleagues.
• Ability to lead, coach and develop a sales team.
