Field Sales Manager

About the role

Solar Panda Kenya is a fast‑growing clean‑tech company delivering solar home systems to households without electricity. The Field Sales Manager will lead a team of commission‑based sales agents, driving sales of solar solutions in rural areas and ensuring targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train, motivate and mentor a team of commission‑based sales agents.
• Develop and implement clear sales strategies and lead‑generation initiatives.
• Support agents in pitching to customer groups such as chamas and monitor daily activity.
• Provide regular performance reports to the Area Sales Manager.
• Identify training needs and coordinate programs with the HR team.
• Liaise with the local shop administrator to ensure timely stock availability.
• Monitor market trends, customer behaviour and competitor activity, sharing insights with management.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in sales or micro‑finance with a strong record of achieving targets.
• Proven experience recruiting and managing commission‑based sales agents.
• Experience working in rural areas is essential.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and strategic planning abilities.
• Ability to deliver under pressure and meet sales targets.
• A diploma or degree in a related field is an advantage.
