Finance Manager – Embu

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead Nawiri Sacco’s Finance Department, overseeing budgeting, cash flow, investments and regulatory compliance. Based in Embu, this full‑time role requires on‑site presence and close collaboration with senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the finance strategy, annual work plans and up‑to‑date financial policies.
• Lead budgetary planning, monitor budgets for each business line and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
• Manage cash, financing and banking relationships, including oversight of financial transactions.
• Supervise accounting operations, produce consolidated financial statements and ensure accuracy.
• Oversee internal control, risk management and liaison with internal audit.
• Mentor finance staff, drive capacity building and ensure health, safety and wellness compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior financial management role, preferably in financial services or investment sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CPA(K) qualification and ICPAK membership required.
• Strong customer relationship management and ability to drive fundraising and investment decisions.
