About the role
The Firefighter will join an emergency response and community safety team, responding quickly to incidents and helping to minimise their impact. Working under the Duty Officer, the role involves direct fire‑fighting duties, public education and maintaining readiness of equipment in a safe environment.
Key responsibilities
- Respond immediately and safely to all emergency calls, providing fire‑fighting, rescue and first‑aid assistance.
- Maintain and test all firefighting and emergency equipment to approved standards.
- Give fire‑safety advice to the public and support community education programmes.
- Complete basic paperwork, record incident information and assist in continuous training drills.
Required profile
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (minimum grade D+).
- Age between 25 and 40 years.
- Formal training in fire science.
Required skills
- Operation of firefighting equipment and apparatus.
- First aid and CPR proficiency.
