Fund Associate – Investment Role

About the role

Our client, a leading investment firm, is looking for a motivated Fund Associate to join their Nairobi team. You will support the full investment lifecycle, from due diligence and financial modelling to transaction execution and portfolio management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare KYC documentation, due‑diligence request lists and conduct background checks on potential investees.
• Maintain and review data‑room contents and related documentation.
• Analyse historical financial statements, forecasts and benchmarking data.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support investment decisions.
• Assist with transaction execution, including structuring, documentation and closing.
• Draft Investment Committee memoranda, meeting minutes and investor communications.
• Coordinate due‑diligence activities and manage information requests.
• Perform covenant analysis and review loan agreements against term sheets.
• Conduct market research and prepare industry intelligence reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Accounting, Investments or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in investment banking, investing, audit, management consulting or development finance.
• Strong analytical abilities and high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
