Global Lead Project Manager – Remote (Kenya)

About the role

The Global Lead Project Manager will act as the primary liaison between the project sponsor and the organization, overseeing the end‑to‑end delivery of clinical‑trial projects on a global scale. This remote position based in Kenya requires strong leadership, financial stewardship, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main contact between sponsor and organization, managing communication pathways and escalation rules.
• Lead cross‑functional project teams to deliver on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Maintain financial oversight, including contract understanding, budget alignment, and out‑of‑scope activity management.
• Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with ICH‑GCP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate secondary project leads when required, defining responsibilities and communication channels.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic qualification.
• Minimum 8 + years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years as a Global Lead Project Manager in clinical trials.
• Extensive vendor management experience across multiple vendor types.
• Experience in therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Gastrointestinal or Neuroscience is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong ability to delegate, prioritize workload and adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
