Head of Accounts Payable

About the role

AAA Growers is seeking a dynamic Head of Accounts Payable to lead its AP function in Nairobi. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely processing of supplier invoices and payments while maintaining strong internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Accounts Payable team to guarantee prompt invoice processing.
• Manage supplier accounts, reconciliations, and creditor relationships.
• Oversee petty cash, utilities, and outgrower payment processes.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, withholding tax, and other statutory requirements.
• Support monthly financial reporting, audits, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and monitor key AP reports and performance metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration or related field.
• CPA(K) or equivalent professional accounting certification is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, creditor management, or financial accounting, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax compliance, and ERP/accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with high integrity and attention to detail.
