Head of Service – Hospitality Operations

About the role

The Head of Service will lead front‑of‑house operations for a busy hospitality venue in Westlands, ensuring seamless service delivery across all shifts. This senior‑level position requires strong leadership to drive exceptional guest experiences and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily front‑of‑house activities and maintain high service standards.
• Lead, motivate and supervise service teams to achieve performance targets.
• Address guest concerns promptly and resolve issues professionally.
• Manage inventory and coordinate stock control to reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with cleanliness, food safety, hygiene and grooming standards.
• Conduct regular staff training, coaching and performance reviews.
• Prepare staff schedules and guarantee adequate staffing levels.
• Monitor operational performance and implement efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with kitchen and management teams for seamless service flow.
• Uphold company policies, procedures and health‑and‑safety regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 4–5 years of supervisory or managerial experience in hospitality, restaurant or food‑service environments.
• Proven leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Strong problem‑solving, negotiation and organisational abilities.
