About the role
The International School (Pearson Edexcel) seeks a dedicated History and Geography teacher to deliver the Pearson Edexcel curriculum to IGCSE students. You will join a vibrant community in Westlands, Nairobi, focusing on inquiry‑based, learner‑centered instruction.
Key responsibilities
- Teach History and Geography according to the Pearson Edexcel syllabus.
- Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and learning resources.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
- Prepare learners for internal and external examinations.
- Promote inquiry‑based and learner‑centered teaching approaches.
- Integrate ICT tools into classroom instruction.
- Participate in co‑curricular and school activities.
- Maintain effective classroom management and discipline.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student achievement.
Required profile
- Degree or Diploma in Education.
- Minimum three years of teaching experience, preferably with IGCSE (Cambridge/Pearson Edexcel) curriculum.
- Registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) in Kenya.
- Clean child‑protection record.
- Strong interpersonal skills with pupils and staff.
Required skills
- ICT proficiency.
