County Coordinator – Community Programme (Bungoma)

About the role

The County Coordinator will lead FAWE’s programme activities in Bungoma County, mobilising communities and stakeholders, supporting the implementation of project interventions, and organising trainings and awareness events. The role also involves monitoring progress, collecting data, preparing reports and maintaining strong relationships with government and community partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all programme activities at the county level, ensuring alignment with FAWE’s strategic objectives.
• Mobilise community members, local authorities and CSOs to participate in trainings, awareness campaigns and project interventions.
• Monitor project progress, collect and analyse information, and produce regular reports for donors and senior management.
• Maintain effective partnerships with government agencies, community groups and corporate partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Education, Gender, Public Health, Project Management or a related field.
• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct issued within the last six months.
• Minimum three years of experience in an NGO or community development setting.
• Knowledge of Child & Youth Safeguarding guidelines and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience working with databases and budget/financial reporting tools.
