Junior Technical Advisor – Sustainable Livestock Systems

About the role

The Junior Technical Advisor will support the LiveSys programme, a GIZ‑funded initiative aimed at transforming livestock systems in Kenya toward sustainability and climate resilience. Working closely with the Technical Advisor and the project team, the role involves providing technical, coordination, organisational and administrative assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementing, monitoring and reporting of LiveSys activities.
• Engage with stakeholders and contribute to capacity‑development initiatives.
• Manage knowledge‑sharing processes, ensuring effective information flow among partners.
• Coordinate project tasks in line with GIZ standards and procedures.
• Support activities related to sustainable livestock systems, climate policy and international development cooperation.
• Conduct research, analyse and synthesise technical information for concept notes, policy briefs, training materials and presentations.
• Organise workshops, trainings and webinars for partners and beneficiaries.

Required profile

• Junior‑level professional able to provide technical and administrative support.
• Interest in sustainable livestock, climate resilience, biodiversity and land restoration.
• Ability to work in a multi‑stakeholder environment and communicate findings clearly.
